Our workshop design features personal practice, organizational application and embodied learning. You will leave with a toolkit and practical implementation plan for your organization, and you/we will be:
- Practicing cornerstones of positive psychology – mindfulness, positive relationships, meaning & purpose, and strengths focus. You will develop your own plan for personal practice.
- Linking benefits, ROI, and toolkit options with cornerstones of positive psychology to your organizational challenges, goals, and programs.
- Exploring connections and benefits of positive psychology tools to critical HR processes, and preparing you to present the business can in your organization.
- Establishing meaningful connections and a community of practice with others interested in supercharging talent pools and creating more positive workplaces.
Karen S. Whelan-Berry is a positive psychology scholar/practitioner with extensive corporate and higher education experience. She focuses on research and practice at the intersection of strengths-based individual, team, and leader performance excellence and resilience; instructional design that cultivates immediate and long-term skills and habits; and individual and organizational positive change. Karen has over 20 publications, and numerous presentations at national and regional positive psychology and management conferences, and her research has won awards. Karen has taught undergraduate, graduate, and certificate courses, and has provided training and facilitation in corporate, non-profit, government, healthcare, and higher education organizations. Karen holds a PhD in Organizational Studies from the Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College, an MBA from Bentley College, and BS Degree from Franklin Pierce College and a Certificate in Positive Psychology, and a Certification in Wholebeing Positive Psychology Coaching. Karen is the Director of Faculty Development and Programs for the College of Natural Sciences, University of Massachusetts – Amherst.
Stacey Bledsoe is a human resources consultant and coach with over 20 years as a leader and human resources executive in both fast-paced operational and corporate environments. Stacey spent her early career in human resource operations overseeing employees and leading managerial teams across multi-states. Driven to expand her leadership experience, Stacey joined one of North America’s largest general contracting firms to lead human resources for a rapidly growing division. She was quickly promoted to a national role as the Director of HR Services. While serving on the executive team, Stacey prioritized balancing human resource outcomes and development of the human resource leaders in her organization. In 2018, Stacey started her own company to focus on coaching, human resource consulting, and leadership development full-time. Stacey holds an advanced degree and several certifications including: Masters of Human Resources from Rollins College; Bachelors of Business Administration from Samford University; Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation; Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the Co-Active Training Institute; Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute; and is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management.
